From July to September each year, something spectacular happens in East Africa; Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration. During the event, over 1.5 million wildebeests, more than 200,000 zebras, and different species of antelopes will move from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
The migrating herd covers a distance of over 2,000 miles, only to reach the Mara-Serengeti border between the end of June. The climax of the Masai Mara Serengeti migration is the Mara River crossing which occurs between July and August; making this the best time to book a Kenya Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration Safari
